Hibiskiss is a sensual dance production curated and envisioned by Apsara Ajooba as a part of Apsara Ras Healing Arts collective. Hibiskiss holds a tapestry of powerful erotic expressions, ceremony, and different ancestral dances. These performance pieces honor stories about ancestral pain & pleasure, divinities, queer & trans romance, kindred spirit love, spirituality, and learning to love one’s sacred self and gifts. We will be sharing burlesque, interpretive, & contemporary dance as well. Inspired by the sultry energy of the flower, hibiscus and the sexual and sensual rhythms of nature, HibisKiss:A River of Love, uncoils realms of passion, shedding, metamorphosis, & pleasure. Hibiskiss premiered February 2nd & 3rd at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, CA with two sold out nights!
