Dalit Women Fight- 2015
Digital graphics used during the Dalit Women Fight Tour in the US in 2015. I had the honor of working with visionaries Thenmozhi Soundararajan and Sharmin Hossain to create and envision these imageries. These imageries were created to honor and amplify Dalit Power, Dalit feminist visioning and futurisms. Collaborating with @dalitdiva and @sharminultra taught me the ways in which casteism controls knowledge production, visual memory and the importance of taking back the power of Dalit, Bahujan, and Muslim communities through visualizations of resistance, dignity and humanity. This collaboration brought me deeper in my own anti-caste work as a Savarna. There is no freedom without the annihilation of caste.

“Dalit Women Fight is a community-led digital project to amplify the voices of Dalit women for justice. We cultivate Dalit women activists, who are the leaders of a movement for Dalit self-respect and dignity. Our work spans four major areas: survivor support, grassroots activism, leadership development and international advocacy. Dalit Women Fight aims to have built a critical mass movement lead by Dalit Women Leaders; working to create community-based movements that have specific frameworks in place to effectively challenge, tackle, and solve caste-based violence and discrimination; and the culture of impunity.” -Dalitwomenfight.org
